Application Declaration (YAML)

The application file selects configuration and packages required to start a logiCells application.

Responsibilities

An application declaration may determine:

  • application identity and context;
  • enabled packages;
  • required Runtime resources;
  • environment choices;
  • integration points required at startup.

Organization

application
  -> packages
      -> manifests
          -> models

Models carry business meaning. The application declaration orchestrates their loading and must not duplicate their concepts or rules.

Sensitive configuration

Environment-specific endpoints, secrets, certificates, and passwords should stay outside reusable business metadata. Use deployment configuration or an appropriate secret manager.

Compatibility

Exact declaration attributes depend on the Runtime generation. Copy only fields validated for the target version. An unknown or historical field must not be presented as universal.
